Montgomery
is unique in that
it is located within two counties - Fayette and Kanawha. Population -
approximately 2,000
Founder - James C. Montgomery
First Mayor - John C. Montgomery served 1891 - 1903 Incorporated in
1891. Celebrated its Centennial in May 1991. Montgomery is about one
mile in length.
Montgomery is 1400 feet wide at its widest point.
Located approximately 27 miles southeast of Charleston, home of the
state capitol. Located on the south bank of the Kanawha River.
Home to WVU Tech campus.
Montgomery flooded April 4, 1897.
Home to two major banks - United Bank and City National Bank Home to

River Park is located next to the
Montgomery
Swimming Pool and offers a full-size basketball court, gazebo, picnic
tables, jungle gym and swings. The Park is open from dawn til dusk.

Morris Drive Park is
located on Morris
Drive next to the
Public Works Garage. The Park is open from dawn lil dusk culd has a
full size basketball court, picnic table culd swings.
